Paddy shrugged thinking that this would not be the best time to light up in the world. So, he stuck to his coffee for now. "Hospitals are creepy." he said simply. "I understand why their sterile and all that, it's just...uncomfortable." he offered. "Oh that would be nice. I'd hate to wear my blue helmet with something that clashed." he said chuckling. For someone who didn't like to shop, at all, Paddy was fairly put together, passing for an ordinary business man (outside of his worn leather jacket), until he threw on his work robes once he got to the office.
"He's doing alright then?" he said happily. For some reason he was always more interested in other's relationship with their parents than his own. Well, mainly because he didn't have one with his father and barely had one with his mother. "I don't know about that. I think it's pretty interesting." he shrugged again as he began to play with his fork. "It's refreshingly normal, if that makes any sense. If it makes you feel any better though, mines not that much more exiting." he said. Sure he was on a case, but right now, it still wasn't like he was chasing anyone down or anything.
