So she was getting turned down. Delaney frowned a bit, but ultimately she understood. She was rather in the same situation herself, and she supposed if Maeve ever did come around, she wouldn't be too happy to hear that Delaney was so distraught at Maeve's absence that she just had to go out and shag the first bloke that would have her.
"When... when are you going to tell her?" she asked carefully. "I mean... the whole thing isn't exactly a secret anymore. And I'll admit that it's mostly my fault, since I sort of lost my rag when Maeve found out. But perhaps... perhaps you ought to tell her before someone else does, or she finds out from the journals like Maeve did... or I start showing and she figures it out for herself."
She looked around for the house elf, indicating her empty plate and that she would like seconds, sipping at her pumpkin juice while she waited.
