Penny had been enjoying her little outing with Katie when she was caught off guard by Katie's outburst and need to chase after a man who Penny had never seen before in her life. The word 'confused' didn't quite capture how Penelope felt at the moment, but she nodded just as frantically and sprung from her seat, prepared to follow Katie.
If there was one thing Penelope was good at, it was following along. The last few years being trained to become and Obliviator had taught her that sometimes she couldn't step up and be the follower and even in instances when she had no idea what was going on, it was best to be trustworthy and do what you were told. Katie, however, wasn't one of her mentors and she was someone that Penelope didn't know quite as well as she would've liked to blindly follow her. If it weren't for the look on Katie's face, Penelope probably would've objected and told her she wait at their table for Katie to return.
"Who is he?" she finally asked, trying to clear some of the confusion from her mind so she could focus on what exactly was happening.
