She smiled up at him in a way that made Neville feel more confident and more grown up than most could possibly do. She was pleased, at least more pleased than she'd been earlier, and even Neville realized that the cleaning ritual was not her favorite but tolerated. After her hands (and arms) were cleaned of all traces of food, he lifted her up, giving her a small hug, "Hello there, my happy girl. You gave your Neville quite a fright I'm afraid. You hit me with your bear. But no matter, time to go get you dressed," he said, as he walked her back to the small bedroom, to find Hannah already there.
He noted what she was doing, and that the pants and shirt he'd grabbed had somehow disappeared, "Don't trust me to pick out clothes?" he said, laughing slightly, "You are a pretty smart lady, Hannah. I'm utter rubbish at matching or picking stuff out. If you haven't noticed by now," he added, grinning as he moved to set Olivia down on her bed.
