"Okay," he said, as he entered the living room behind them, his eyes following the little girl as she headed towards her seat, "I won't take it personally then," he said, pausing before he turned to head into the kitchen, "At least tell me what I can do to help in here. Here I am a bit come competent," he offered, even as he moved closer to her, "We could have toast and jam," he said, a smile coming to his face, "But are we having it with coffee or tea?"
He was immediately taken back to that moment, those tender memories of being close, and he gave a happy sigh as he turned to the kitchen, ready to start on toast at least. He thought he'd make her some eggs as well. Then after a good breakfast, they could spend the day together, maybe even venture into Hogsmeade.
