Oriel traced a fingertip in little curlicues on the table top before he spoke - and signed - again. "Usually when I get to know someone, I figure out something... something that's them. That connects to them. And then make a sign out of it." He had not missed the asking out part and that sort of settled it in his mind that this was a date.
He was glad for that.
"It has to be just right," he added, pausing to say thank you to the waitress. "Since it's your name." And he'd always have the same sign for his name. At least from Oriel.
