"I know right?" she said with a small laugh. "Thank you, that's really refreshing actually. A lot of people used to tell me it sounds like garbage, but what do they know." she said with a playful roll of her eyes.
"It does, and I'm pretty thankful for it." she said thinking briefly of the years after school where she was living at home trying to get past everything that had happened during the war. She had spent a lot of time out in the garden, it brought her some peace. "I hope this isn't too intrusive, but what about you? I mean, do you have anything like that to share with your parents?" she asked trying to gauge how the rest of the conversation might go for a while.
