WHO: Susan Bones & Marcus Flint. WHAT: A.... date? WHERE: The Apothecary → Mystery location! WHEN: Sunday afternoon. RATING/STATUS: TBD - it's hard to determine. / Open to Marcus Flint.
Merlin, Susan couldn't recall the last time she felt this nervous. Leaving the care of the Apothecary to Maeve, Susan headed upstairs to get ready. To be quite honest, the last time Susan had ever gone on a date was with Ernie, and that didn't technically count since they have been dating on and off for five years. This was a date, right? At this point Susan didn't know. She felt a bit guilty that she even agreed to this date after only calling off the wedding two weeks ago. However, she knew that if she didn't get out now, she never would leave her apothecary. This was good for her, this was a chance for her to actually get out there, even if it was just for an afternoon.
Remembering her promise to Marcus, Susan made sure to dress a little nicer than just shorts and a top. Slipping on a black and white polka dotted dress, Susan stared at her reflection. Was this getting too dressed up? Smoothing her hands over the front of the dress, she swallowed nervously and glanced at the clock.
12:58.
"Sod it." She muttered and grabbed a pair of red heels and moved out of the upstairs apartment. Closing the door behind her, there was no turning back. Hopefully Marcus wasn't waiting for her down there. That would be equally embarrassing. If she was overdressed, and then to make him wait like that for her? Leave it to Susan Bones to over think every possible worse case scenario. Maybe she should have taken a different pair of shoes? What if he wants to take her to some sort of farm and show her horses, or something that makes her in a dress and heels look ridiculous. Taking the steps back down to the main shop slowly, she tried to calm her nerves. If her stomach didn't stop doing flips, she knew she was going to vomit, on top of that her heart felt like it was going to beat out of her chest from all the anxiety. Getting a quick glance of herself in the mirror at the bottom of the steps, she ran her fingers through her red curls, brushing them out of her eyes before pushing open the door and stepping back into the apothecary.
