Alecto wasn't particularly busy, Arachnida was rarely packed with customers - come to think of it, Arachnida on a good month had one visitor walk in, typically lost, but still one visitor a month. Alecto didn't really have to worry about money, nor did she have to care about who came in her store or not. Arachnida gave her enough space and time away from the hideout to keep her mind a little more sane than it should be. Of course, Arachnida was not the most pleasant of shops, it was dark and cool and attacked all the senses at once upon entering. Lack of light, typically plunged a customer into sheer darkness, as the sound of rattling cages, and shrieking spiders filled their ears. Then the smell usually drove them off. It was the smell of death, thick overpowering coppery smell, like blood was painted over the walls.
Today was no exception. Alecto sat behind the counter, a single candle flickering on the counter top. It's flame casting shadows on the wall behind her, as spiders skittered across the walls, attempting to avoid the candlelight. One rather large spider, about the size of both of her hands, descended a long piece of silk webbing and dangled before her. Dark eyes flickered to look up at the spider. "Mmm, my little precious, you feel that as well?" A broad smirk curled on her lips as she placed her hand out flat to allow the spider to rest in the palm of her hand. "It's not him, no, no, no. It could never be him." Her voice was a sharp hiss, as she glanced towards the direction of the door.
"Shall we let it in?" All the spiders fell silent, as Alecto grasped her wand and flicked it towards the door. The knob turned slowly before an audible click brought the door open. It didn't swing open, it only opened enough to let whoever was on the other side know that Alecto knew they were there.
