Who Cho Chang & Bethany Meadowes
What Cho misses her friend!
Where Coffee shop in Diagon Alley
Rating Low/Incomplete

Indeed Cho's life for the past three or four years had been consumed by Auror training, and then her first year in the field. This past summer she had been allowed to play Quidditch for England--with absolutely glorious results, mind you--but all of this meant that she hadn't had time to see her friends. Now that things were finally slowing down for her, it was high time to catch up with people!

And the first of those people was Cho's long-time friend, Bethany. They had been in Ravenclaw together, on the House team together, the DA, the Order--they went back a long while. Cho had sent an owl out to her friend asking if she wanted to meet up for lunch at this cute coffee shop she knew of in Diagon, and was eager to see her friend again after so long. Cho had cut her hair halfway through Auror training, and no one had seen it yet! It had been long and luxurious before, but she now wore it short, not even to her shoulders (though it would grow out eventually). She couldn't wait to see her friend's reaction. Cho sat at a table outside under an umbrella; she couldn't have picked a better day to meet up with an old friend.

Beth hadn't seen Cho in quite some time, with Cho doing her Auror training and Bethany working her way up the Holyhead ranks, they both had barely enough time to even scribble out owls, let alone visit. Beth had of course watched as Cho lead England to victory Scotland, which helped soothe the wound that losing to the rivals from across the Irish Sea left. Still, Beth was playfully bitter about it, often teasing with her friends and teammates that Scotland had gotten lucky.

The day they had picked to meet was turning out to be one of the few with beautiful weather this late into September. As she walked down Diagon Alley towards the cafe, Beth saw a woman with short dark hair, who looked familiar, but of course, she was expecting the long locks she had been accustomed to on her friend and nearly walked right past her.

Just as she was about to walk into the cafe, Bethany realized that it was in fact Cho sitting under the large umbrella and she felt a broad smile stretch across her features. "Oh my god, your hair! It looks fantastic!" She exclaimed, her opening joke of not wanting to hear the recap of the World Cup final lost in her surprise.

Cho looked up when she heard her name, then smiled and waved at her friend. "Thanks!" She got up from her seat and went over to give Beth a hug. 'I thought a change would be nice. And it makes being an Auror easier, because then your hair doesn't get stuck in doors or something." She laughed good-naturedly and gestured for Beth to take the seat across from her.

"It's so great to see you again. What have you been doing lately?" With all the things that had been keeping them both busy, Cho barely knew what was going on in her friend's life. "How is Quidditch going for you?"
