Cormac McLaggen ([info]mclaggish) wrote in [info]wished,

Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Cormac McLaggish and Fred Weasley
What: While everyone knows Fred Weasley, Cormac believes everyone should know him. Unfortunately he's very much unaware that the hitwizard that seems to be lurking believes one of them to be a wanted criminal. Wait, what? More to come!
Where: The semi-bustling Diagon Alley
When: The early hours of the evening
Rating: PG-13 considering Cormac and Fred are involved

It was ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous. Perhaps not to others, but to Cormac McLaggen the fact that he had to fetch his own coffee was more ridiculous then the new secretary's overly blonde hair. Perhaps it wouldn't have been so horrible had she been attractive. He wasn't even allowed to oogle an attractive bird when he walked in to his office every morning. Life certainly did seem to enjoy being so cruel to him lately. No matter. The office, usually, provided them with decent coffee. It always helped those last few hours go by when he had little to no work sitting on his desk. Really, Cormac never had any work on his desk. He always found a way to pawn it off to others whenever he could. He enjoyed his job, of course, but the busy work was not fitting to his wanted lifestyle. Though he often found himself doing it more then he really wanted.

The coffee had been empty and no one was around to make him another pot. Typical. He was sure whoever was in charge of it was off socializing. Giving the coffee pot a rather sour look, it was only fair that Cormac take it as a sign to take his leave from the office for the day. He was fairly certain, after all, that no one would go looking for him. If they did, there was always tomorrow.

The alley that was usually bustling and busy wasn't so much, but Cormac didn't mind. He had always hated trying to weave his way through the large, choking crowd. He paused, for a moment, eying a small picture of a professional Quidditch group. Shaking his head, he scoffed, picking up his pace once more. "Rubbish. Ought to be me in that picture." He certainly wasn't still bitter over his denial to play Quidditch at Hogwarts. Not at all.
