She couldn't help it. She winced when he said that. It was the something Quentin should have hoped for Alix though and she understood that. It didn't make it any easier to hear coming from someone else's mouth though. "I'd be lying if I said I was sorry he didn't. I know it makes me sound like a selfish bitch, but then I'll happily be that. I don't... I just can't..." And she couldn't even get out what she was trying to say. The idea physically hurt.
"Pfft, not good reasons," she waved it off as though it were a foolish idea. She couldn't imagine any good reasons he could ever come up with. And if he tried, well, she could probably counter them. But that was just Trish. "But you'll be nice and not say them."
At least until she said something that he couldn't stop himself from responding to, like what he was responding to now.
"Cuddling is nice! It's a good way to be close and talk all at once." She was definitely going to have to defend that. It was one of her favorite things to do with Alix. "Thank you for letting me know you can knit though. I'd never pegged you as someone who could. Can you crochet as well?"
"I do. There's a whole Alley in Diagon that I didn't know about." What had it been called again? Memorial Alley or something. "Ah, I'm working. I work for the London Aquarium. Muggle job." The same type of job she'd done when she was hiding.
