Well it was nice to see he hadn't lost his senses completely then and he also realized how useless Divinations was. It was a pity that other people didn't realize that. The youth of the world was wasting their time taking such a course. Of course she knew that some of them took it because it was a cake class, something they could get an easy grade in with minimal effort. She'd certainly heard that from others enough.
Was he serious? It was because of her? Patricia certainly had a whole lot more to make up for. "Ah. I'd always hoped that he'd move on, just because I wanted him happy." The thought of Alix having actually gotten together with someone else though nearly made her sick. She would have deserved it though if he did. She'd been the one to take off, after all.
"No, I never got over him. How can someone get over Alix?" And that was a rhetorical question. Other people probably wouldn't have become so attached so quickly like she had. Her biggest regret was not telling him she was leaving and convincing him to come with her. She could only imagine what it would have been like if she'd managed to talk him into coming to Australia with him. Maybe she wouldn't have just been borrowing his last name while she was there.
"I did." She tried to look unconcerned about it, but she knew her cheeks were rosy again and that her smile was probably a touch smug and dreamy all at once. "We spent a lot of time talking and cuddling and stuff." She wasn't going into detail. It wasn't like they didn't have things to work through.
"He had to work, like you said. And so I figured I should get out and do something. I'd planned on using this week to get reconnected to places and people and find a place to stay." Staying with her parents for too long wasn't an option, especially now.
