"Divination is bollocks," Quentin agreed, giving a derisive snort. It was so utterly pointless. Either you had the Sight or you didn't - and for most people, they didn't. It was pointless to teach the class, as he had often said as well, although he was trying to be polite and professional and holding his tongue... when he was around students or other members of staff, at least!
His expression sobered a bit and Quentin wondered if Patricia had any idea just how much she meant to Alix. How much of an affect she had on him. "Well there was this girl, you see, and she disappeared. For years and years and years." He raised a pointed eyebrow at her, because of course that girl was sitting right across from him.
"He never got over you, you know." Even if he didn't talk about her. "And I'm guessing the reverse was true?" He folded his hands on the wooden table top.
"Oh you left your bags at his place, did you? My my, reconnecting, then?" he said with a wicked grin. "I suppose, you do have an awful lot of time to make up for, don't you?" All those years! That was a lot of making up for lost time to do!
"I'm surprised you're not still there. Although I guess he probably had to go to work." Yes, he was definitely going to tease her about that!
