"It wouldn't be as much fun in the commons. It's more fun when you can include people from other houses. Especially the ones you don't like." Like the Slytherins or some of the students who seemed to think they were better than everyone else. They were always the most fun to pelt with either something like mashed potatoes or pasta covered in sauce. Not that she'd ever participated in food fights. Banish the very thought.
She waved off that idea with a roll of her eyes. "And I'd tell those 'fate' people where they can stick it. Divinations is all bollocks." She couldn't believe that they'd taught such a thing at Hogwarts and she'd scoffed when someone had asked her if she was going to take it. Really now! Things happened because of choices people made, not because of something like fate.
"Well then I can ignore you quite well when you start saying it. It isn't nice to rub such things in." And just as quickly as she went from teasing she became serious, her eyes locking on to Quentin's. "Mopey? He's been mopey? Why? What happened?" It couldn't be because of her, could it? Sure she could see being upset at first, but the idea that it had continued on for years was daunting.
"It's probably better that there isn't smelling involved if you two hug. Someone might get the wrong idea." Of course talking of smelling him made her wish she'd snatched one of his shirts this morning to wear instead. He had a lot of them, so he probably wouldn't even notice it went missing. She could have got it back and he would have been none the wiser. Well that was unless she was still wearing it when they saw each other again.
"I'd hope so. I left my bags at his place." Which had been done entirely on purpose. She'd only went home to her parents' house to take a shower and get fresh clothes. Everything she'd bought the day before was still at Alix's place.
