It looked like Jill had given in, and was along for the ride in this thing, wherever it might lead her. It felt so surreal, that this big, beautiful man was even giving her the time of day, let alone kissing her hand and asking her to dinner and god was this flirting?
She had no idea.
The most pressing question was the one he had put to her. Her place, or his? She thought about it hard as they stood in line. On the one hand, she wanted nothing more than to be in the comfort of her own home while this bewildering event took place. And she knew where everything was!
But on the other hand, Jack and Andrew were likely to be there. As comforting as their presence usually was, she had the feeling that bringing a strange bloke home out of the blue wouldn't go down well with Jack, not after the conversation they had had about him not wanting to think about her virtue. And he was having his own issues with Andrew anyway.
"Um, yours?" she squeaked finally. It was scary, but it was much less so than trying to explain Bradley to Jack.
