Who: Fred and Verity Weasley
What: Talking
When: Last night
Where: Their house
Rating/Warning: TBA

Verity had asked that they send Charlie off for the night so that they could talk. Now, sending Charlie to his mum's for the night generally meant to Fred that either he was going to come home to a very angry wife who didn't want their squidget around while she was yelling, or that he was going to get very very lucky. As he couldn't think of anything he'd done to qualify for the screaming in anger variety of wife, he was hoping that the talk had something to do with the second option.

He dropped Charlie off at The Burrow just after dinner, watching while she ate dessert and then giving her a kiss goodnight and a ride around the garden on his back before he send her off to putter about with his dad in the shed and he headed home. To whatever sort of wife was waiting there for him.

If Verity were to be honest with herself, she would have to admit that she was nervous. Not nearly as scared as she had been last time she'd been in this situation, but there was a churning of her stomach that was not caused (directly at any rate) by the pregnancy.

This was what Fred wanted, he'd only asked her nearly every day for the past year. She couldn't quite pinpoint the reason behind her nervousness, aside from the pregnancy scare of earlier that year. But this time, she'd seen a Healer. She was pregnant. Pregnant and curled up on the couch, tea and biscuits laid out on the coffee table and waiting for her husband to come home so she could break the news to him.
