"Just makes the coffee cooler faster. I'm not of the sort who sets out to scald his tongue with each cuppa," Kevin said offhandedly. He took another long sip from the coffee and closed his eyes as he swallowed, thankful this coffee place in particular didn't suck.
He set the coffee down next to his computer and reached down into his bag for his notebook and pen when he heard Oriel name his employer. He froze.
The Quibbler. Really? Kevin fought the urge to roll his eyes. Although he had occasionally wondered how on Earth Luna ended up in Ravenclaw, he kind of liked her. She gave Ravenclaw personality, something the house was often accused of lacking. But Kevin had learned pretty quickly to dodge any topics that seemed like they might touch into what her father did for a living. The Quibbler was a collection of imaginative bullshit, but still that: bullshit. Not like the Prophet.
"Oh do you?" he asked, trying like hell to keep the condescension out of the tone in his voice (not realizing that the tone was irrelevant). "What do you cover?" He forgot entirely about Oriel's last question, this news of being in the presence of a Quibbler kid was much more interesting than the article that still waited for him.
