Picking up a pen, Oriel tugged the cap off and stuck it on the back, chewing lightly, briefly on it as he thought, before he started to write. Just jot notes about the next column or so he would do, which creatures he wanted to write about. Questions that needed answers - he would do research to find them.
He wasn't aware of someone walking close, not at first. He continued to write, which must have seemed a bit rude, as if he was ignoring Kevin altogether. Until he wanted to a drink of his tea. He set down the pen, and reached for his mug, bringing his head up as he did so.
And then he realized that someone was standing right next to him. And looked rather expectant, as if he had just said something. Oriel blinked his large blue eyes and an apologetic look flashed across his face.
"Sorry," he said in his slightly-flat voice, and that, coupled with a touch to his ear probably explained the situation again. "Did you say something?"
