A small smile crept across her face and she shrugged. "It's been a tradition for ages, since before Lorenzo, even. Don't know if I'll keep up with it though.." she trailed off feeling odd talking about such a thing.
Then that smile faded and a very, very serious expression took over. Not many people knew this about her father and mother but some of the pureblood families did. She didn't think he would but what if he found out, and not from her, and decided he didn't want to associate with her anymore?
"Tristan? Uhm.. there's something I ought to say and it may be really, really dumb but you should know, it's important.. it's why my father did that to himself and my mother," she was nervously wringing her hands together and hesitated.
Those bright eyes lifted and she bit her lip.
