"Oh, that's actually probably a good thing," Delaney laughed. "My wand hand is just itching to hex something, and he would make such a delightfully convenient target." Her poorly thought out attempt at flirtation seemed to have gone unnoticed, so she heaved a mental sigh of relief and turned her attention back to Anabel and her questions.
"I don't see how it could be anything else," she went on. "I mean... it was my first time there, and I started throwing up. I can't imagine there's any other conclusion to be drawn." But at Anabel's comment she smirked. "Obviously it's beneath two people of our standing, to be seen in such a common place," she laughed. "But at the end of the day, the food was decent sized portions and it was damn tasty, and damn it, if it weren't for the whole food poisoning issue, I'd go back in a heartbeat."
In a breathy, incredulous tone, Delaney finished the joke, exclaiming "Oh wow, really? Cos I never could before!" She fluttered her eyelashes to add to the effect, before paying closer attention. "Oh, Merlin, run the scans. Taking blood is so... barbaric, so primitive. So bloody muggle."
