"Oh!" Oriel said when he realized what she had meant, and he reached over for it, as she was still holding it out. "Thank you. I do.. I do like it." He just hadn't realized that that was what she meant. But the sweater was nice, soft, a pretty colour, and it would fit him.
He slid it over his shoulder with the other.
"Mmm. A lot?" he suggested, with a laughing smile. "Wear durable clothes. No white." Since white showed stains absolutely immediately, and stains were guarenteed when you were around small children with grabby, sticky hands. And playing outside. And painting, and drawing. Really, children were very messy creatures.
It didn't take long for both of them to have a number of clothes ready to go home with them. Oriel tilted his head towards the counter, where a girl stood, a store employee waiting to ring people through.
"Do we have a good haul?" he asked. After all, there would be more thrift stores later on!
