She winced when he mentioned the spell and her nose crinkled at the idea. "There is. I tried it once. Somehow I might have made the hole twice as large and turned the top puke green." It hadn't been pretty. She couldn't help but wonder if it was because she was so out of tune with her magic. Even back now she typically did everything the muggle way. Her wand rarely made it out to see the light of day. Maybe her magic was rebelling against her?
"Yay lunch!" She had to stop herself from grasping his wrist and tugging him along. It was probably best to finish up what they were doing here, after all. So with that thought she reached over to the sweaters and tugged out the blue one they'd both been pulling out and held it up, unfolding it to hold it against Oriel as she turned her head this way and that.
"I don't know, Ori. I just think you might have outgrown wearing unicorns on your clothes," she said with as much seriousness as she could muster. It was a pity that it had a large, pale pink unicorn stitched on the front of it. If the unicorn wasn't there the sweater could have been quite nice and the color actually looked good against Oriel's skin.
She pulled the sweater away from him and turned it, pulling it back against her and showing the front of it off to him. "What do you think? Is it me?" While she loved thrift stores she did have to wonder about what they sat out sometimes.
"But I was thinking muggle London for lunch. I found this great little cafe that I think you'll like." Ellie wasn't a vegetarian, but she remembered that Oriel was. That didn't mean that there wasn't vegetarian food that she liked, however, and the cafe she was talking about specialized in that food.
