Ellie was trying to be good and keep her hands to herself, but she remembered allt he time she'd spent with Oriel during school. He'd been a number of years behind her, but she'd instantly been attached to the cute little Hufflepuff his first year and had frequently dragged Audrey over to sit with him in the common room. She'd also spent a lot of time just being overly tactile with him, giving him hugs, ruffling his hair, fixing said ruffled hair, pulling him along by his hand when they were walking through the halls. If Oriel wasn't off spending time with Maisie or some of his other friends then Ellie had been big on monopolizing his time.
Guiltily she realized that part of the reason she hadn't kept in touch with him after was because a lot of that time was with Audrey and she missed her. She still missed her and she had a sharp ache when thinking about her that she quickly pushed away. Now was definitely the time to make penance to the friends she'd pushed away, not to think of those that were gone.
"The Quibbler? Really?" She fondly remembered that paper. "I'll have to renew my subscription. I had one in school. Cancelled my subscription to the Prophet for it." She felt clumsy with her signing and tripped over the words she knew and had to spell out the others. She really needed to spend more time trying to learn this.
"Have you saw the building going under renovations just down the Alley a bit? It's mine. I'm opening a magical daycare." It still seemed surreal to her when she said that and a thrill of excitement went through her. It'd be opening soon. Very soon. "Stephanie Fawcett is there right now doing some artwork for me."
