The air between them was thick with words unsaid and actions not yet taken. Her eyes, uncharmed and left to their normal effervescent green, blinked rapidly as his hand lifted to her hair. Her breath hitched and she almost forgot to breathe completely. It was as if breathing might alert him to what he was readying himself to do and thus scare him off, which was the last thing she wanted.
Emma couldn't help but feel guilty about the idea that she might've been excited only because this was a Weird Sister but such a thought went out the window the very moment Kirley's mouth fell upon hers. No, she was thrilled because this was a man who made her laugh when she had been upset, a man who was thoughtful enough to send her flowers, a man who sought her out when he could've been seeking out any other witch, a older, prettier witch, to kiss this very moment.
The kiss was perfection but it did leave her hungry for another. She was sure he didn't meant to cause such a stirring within her but he did and she'd be damned if he was going to stop her from having a perfect second kiss.
Emma's lips quirked into a wide grin and she reached out to pull him back toward her. One long leg extended outward to hook around his hip and she leaned upward to press her mouth against his in a kiss that was far less chaste than first.
