So he took it all back, Astrophel was not the same, very much not the same. That sort of made him feel both a bit better and a bit sad. There had been a great deal of life in the man, he’d been a bit of a positive influence on a younger Adrian. But the way he sat there watching the light on the table, his face somewhat distant and is eyes utterly unfocused, it was disconcerting to say the least. Sitting quietly he wasn’t sure what to do, should he snap his fingers and bring the man back to the present? Or just let him be.
Before Adrian needed to make a decision Astrophel blinked as if he were waking up from a very heavy sleep. For now he chose to be silent, not really sure what was up with his friend. Maybe the curse had screwed him up more them anyone could have guessed. Another snorting laugh and he shrugged, “Not sure I would benefit from theirs though and I’m sort of in a selfish mood of late. We’ll see I guess.”
Clearing his throat he made a low whistling sound, “Shyte, you own half of that place? I’ve only been back a few months and I’ve heard some rumors man. Damn, well gratz on that.” Now that was a place he’d never see the inside of, firstly cause his estate had been dissolved with his father’s death and he was broke, and second most everyone thought he was dead so there wasn’t much in the way of reputation to get him in.
