Another blonde greeted him upon his stride through the front door. It wasn't the usual perky, overly sweet, kind of greeting that might've been a requirement out of the workers of this fine establishment. It was a quiet greeting, with wide eyes and breathing that seemed... labored. Astrophel paused and turned to stare at the girl.
"Sorry. About..."
"It's okay, can I.."
"Sometimes, I..."
The two, breathless, wordless and looking equally perplexed stood still for the longest time before Astrophel's mouth quirked upward into a gentle smile. She looked like she might've wanted to smile but it was a task too difficult for her to manage. He adjusted his collar, smoothed his hair and continued his walk further in until he spotted the younger man.
The blonde was staring at him as he walked away, as he slid into the booth across from Adrian.
