Evie grinned at him as she shook his hand. She wasn't stupid - she could tell he was being careful, trying not to hurt her with his obvious strength, and she decided to comment on it. "Wow," she said. "You're really strong, aren't you?" She smiled again, to show him she wasn't taking the mickey out of him.
"Here we are indeed," she agreed. She had a good feeling about this guy - some sixth sense told her he wasn't going to hurt her. She knew she shouldn't feel safe around him, given some of the things she had heard about him, but she had the feeling of safety, and she wasn't going to take that lightly.
"The house elves are sweet," she told him. "They really just want to make sure we have everything we want, and I think that's really nice." After another moment's thought, she had an idea. "Hey, since we're both here, and both after food, why don't we get something to eat together?"
