She felt bad for having startled him, and worse, when she had obviously caught him off guard, but he seemed to recover himself.
"Yes, Evie, from the books," she agreed, stepping closer and holding out her hand for him to shake. "Hello to you, too. I can't believe we were talking so recently, and now here we are!"
She folded her list and put it in the pocket of her skirt. "So, are you going to get something to eat?" she asked him. "Because I had to see the house elves about something anyway - why don't we get something to eat together?"
She had no idea what possessed her to ask him like that - perhaps it was the same crazy mojo that had encouraged her to ask Alfie out the other day. All she knew was, she liked Greg, he had some interesting things to say. And she liked Alfie, he was sweet and kind. She wasn't sure if either of those things amounted to anything, but she reasoned that she owed it to herself to find out.
