Delaney gave herself a mental pat on the back for not jumping three feet in the air when she was startled by Gretchen. Putting on her mildest, politest face, she smiled at the greeting, and returned it.
"Gretchen," she acknowledged, then turned her attention to the restaurant. "Do you know, I've never actually been in here. What's the food like?"
It was true. Delaney wasn't much for fast food. It wasn't that she didn't like the food, she just didn't much like the people that would be surrounding her in that kind of environment. Oh well, she sighed. For the sake of perhaps making a new friend, she could endure the great unwashed masses for a short period of time. If they were to meet up again though, she mused, she was springing for lunch at Diamond.
