“Kay!” the little thief intoned, turning away from the talking adults to start back toward the sand box, stopping only to wave his siblings along with him. And with him they went, eager to get back to building their sand castle. Though Don held no illusion that it would stay up any longer than the last one did. The two ones playing at being quiet were quite the little distructo’s and he fully expected to have his little thief back and whinging away soon enough about his ruined castle. Again.
“Too true. It would certainly be a sight.” He was also quite certain it probably wouldn’t really draw a crowd that was all that interested in the music verses the extra arms. “Though you could always come up with some sort of spell that worked with your will to play it, but you’d have to have excellent concentration.” Don knew that he was certainly too easily distracted for something like that.
He nodded along as Jack spoke, keeping his eyes on his three little terrors as they sat in the sand and played. He was amused to watch his little thief directing the other two on how it was to be done and that made him wonder briefly if that is why they got such joy out of tearing it down. He didn’t allow his attention to wander too far though and he turned his thoughts back to his conversation with Jack. “If you are friends then she should feel comfortable enough to say no if she doesn’t want to. There isn’t any harm in just asking.”
“Tsk. No maybe. Just ask her. The worst she could do is say no and then you just ask why and move on. She’s your friend, take a chance!” Though Don had to remember that he was typically more outgoing then a lot of people and he wouldn’t have a problem hitting up some unknown street musician to ask them to play with him if he really wanted to.
