Somehow, they reminded Jack of a trio of ducklings. Bobbing along in a line. One arm was being tugged and the other was trying to balance rice on a knife (not very effective). "Well," he laughed, but the day was saved by Don, and he was free of sand playing, for the moment at least. "How about after I eat?" he suggested. He did want to fill his stomach before it began making more embarassing noises!
"I'd also have extra arms, so that would probably have something to do with the following!" he exclaimed with a grin. Starting to relax a little bit, although there were moments where the flailiness started coming up. Because he was sitting next to a Weird Sister, after all!!
"Well, sort of. We jam together sometimes and stuff. I've actually thought about asking her," he admitted to Don as he slid the knife into the rice again. "I just don't want to put her on the spot, make her feel like she has to, because we're friends," he explained. But it was something he had been thinking on lately. They both loved music, both got on so well. It could be pretty awesome, too.
"Maybe I'll ask her," he mused as he slid the rice knife into his mouth. Fortunately it was just a flimsy thing so he didn't have to worry about accidently cutting his lip! Which would be embarassing as well.
