Stephen's hands were on her in ways that they never had been before. And she quite liked it. That hand on her hip was a surprise, even in her drunken state, but she had the grace to blush and sit still. Was this still a game? He was talking about how sexy he was, and she could do no other than agree. Wholeheartedly...she'd never voiced that, but she thought it a million different times.
And then he was talking, reciting words, it seemed, that she'd never heard before...words that no one had ever come close to uttering to her before. She shivered as his hand moved to her cheek. This was beyond unfair.
She felt as though she couldn't breathe at all, her heart was pounding so hard, when he nuzzled her neck in that way. It was definitely not just a friendly gesture. Not the way that it raised goosebumps on her skin, and the way it made her blush intensify. Hearing his words, the way that his voice wrapped around those sweet sentiments, it made her want to do crazy, incredibly inappropriate things with him.
Stephanie was so hot that she thought his touch was setting fire to her skin, but she didn't want it to stop. No, she wanted him to keep touching her...she wanted to burn alive if that's what it felt like. Her breath was shallow, heart fluttering a bit unevenly, entirely too quickly. For him, this might have been part of the game, but for her...it was like a deeply buried fantasy come true.
"You win," she whispered very softly, just loud enough for him to hear. She laid one small artists hand against his chest, her eyes glancing down to those oh-so-kissable lips of his, but she didn't push him away. No, she would never do that...
He was so close...too close. And she had no control, no choice, but to give into the little chanting voice in the back of her head. She had to kiss him. It was only a moment after the words of her defeat had left her lips that she found herself kissing her best friend. She wanted him to kiss her back...needed it. She craved what she'd never even had before.
