Lyra was quite fond of little random interludes like this. They sort of made her day when lately all her interactions were with paintings, ghosts and any professor who had the time to entertain her for longer than a few minutes. Lyra longed for more than Pince for company and this was doing wonders for that desire.
It certainly didn't help that she thought him quite fit to boot.
"I do," she replied, now turned completely to face him. Her hand had grabbed at a book about Thumbelina and she had cracked it open to let her eyes sweep through a couple pages absently. Mostly, her attention was drawn to him.
"My first year, actually. I was working in Diagon Alley after school but.. Madame Pince asked me to start assisting her so she can prepare for retirement. I'm sorry, how rude of me, I'm Lyra. Lyra Moon," and she snapped Thumbelina shut as she stepped forward to offer a slim hand.
