Really, it was all Madame Pince's idea but if Headmaster Snape asked it was agreed that the younger librarian would take full responsibility for everything. The idea, the list compiled, everything because Madame Pince, in her own words, decided she was too old to argue much more with anyone let alone Headmaster Snape. Lyra, however, being youthful and lively would be perfection for any heated discussions and there was the chance that her charm might even convince the Headmaster if it were at all possible to charm him in any case.
Lyra was only too happy to take on the project. New books for the muggle fiction section? She was eager to get on with compiling a list and wasted no time in spending her first off day from preparing the library in The Velveteen Rabbit with a bit of parchment and quill for scribbling down as many titles as she could manage.
She had already perused most of the store and saved a section meant mostly for younger children for the last, simply because she didn't think she'd find much from there worth putting in a library for those that were aged eleven and older. But, you never knew so she decided to have a go at it regardless.
However, when Lyra rounded the aisle she had to pause for there was a grown wizard blocking her from getting further than a third of the way down. Lyra opened her mouth to say something and managed a very quick, "Ah, pardon!" before stepping forward and doing a light, graceful spring over his legs.
Her cheeks were dusted pink for the moment and she smiled shyly over her shoulder.
"Sorry if my skirt hit your face, or.. something.. anyway," she averted her gaze and went about reading the titles on the spines of a few books.
