susan bones will try to fix you. (susy_b) wrote in wished,
The loud crack announcing someone apparating made her jump slightly. She should have known it was the auror, her owl was a fast flier. However, after the chaotic evening she had, she really had to think of the worse. However, the sight of Ron Weasley stepping through the doorway, made all the anxiety disappear. Ron Weasley, a face she hadn't seen in years. Eyes went wide when Ron pointed his wand towards Marcus. Dropping the broken glass, Susan scrambled to her feet.
"No, no, no. I mean, I'm all right." She attempted to intervene, but it seemed Ron hit some kind of nerve in Marcus, since the man was rising from his seat and drawing his wand. Merlin, this wasn't going to end well, was it? This was really the last thing she wanted, first attacked, then saved, and now tension so thick she could cut it with a knife.
Biting down on her tongue as Marcus answered for her, she glanced between the two of them. "He's right," Swallowing slightly, she nodded as he offered to clean up. It seemed that it was better to keep them apart, especially since it seemed that they weren't on the best of terms, or rather... Marcus just didn't like Ron. Susan really couldn't fathom why, the Weasley's were always nice to her and her family. She wasn't the best of friends with Ron, but she liked to consider that she was on good terms with him, at least when they were in Hogwarts and she was part of the DA.
"Thank you," She said quietly as she glanced over at Marcus for a moment before looking back at Ron. "He didn't hurt me, I was attacked, I think they were trying to rob me... and Marcus showed up, stupefied them and saved me... and the shop." Which was the truth. Perhaps coming from Susan it was a bit more believable than coming from Marcus?
