susan bones will try to fix you. (susy_b) wrote in wished,
Susan winced slightly when he hissed, and bit down on her bottom lip. "I'm sorry, I should have warned you. It should be feeling better now, though." Giving him a sheepish shrug, she twisted the top back on the tin and placed it down on the counter. Plucking up one of the clean rags, she wiped off her fingers. "It's no problem, really, it's the least I can do, I would recommend having it looked at by a professional. I'm not a healer, so I can't really tell what sort of hex you were hit with, but I hope I helped a little."
As he moved the criminals out of the shop, she picked up all the bandages and tin and shoved it all back into the drawers they came from. Grabbing a piece of parchment and a quill, she scribbled down a note and motioned for an owl, who was perched in the corner, to come over. Obediently, the creature hopped over to the counter and held out it's leg. "Quickly, now," She smiled sweetly to the bird, running her fingers through it's feathers as the owl stretched it's wings and took off out of the front door and into the night air.
Sighing heavily, Susan looked over the damage her store was in. It could have been worse, that's all she could keep telling herself. It could have been worse, and she could have been dead. She should be grateful that all the the damage were a few broken jars and boxes.
Green gaze lifted to look at him once more as he moved back into her store. "That's very kind of you to offer," She smiled once more. Part of Susan couldn't understand why Marcus was being so nice. He was a complete arse the last time she remembered him, but now? Now he was a knight in shining armor and actually offering to help clean up? It made Susan completely confused, but gave her a little faith in those around her. If Marcus could turn over a new leaf, why couldn't anyone else? After all, wasn't Draco Malfoy starting a charity? Of all the people she could think of that would be generous and selfless, Draco Malfoy was one of the last people she thought of.
Moving towards one of the aisles that looked the worse, Susan dropped to her knees and carefully started picking up pieces of shattered glass. The contents of the jar were splattered across the floor, mixing with other ingredients and ultimately contaminated.
