He honestly was not used to someone treating him gently. The medi-witches and wizards on the pitch sidelines were rough bastards who didn't tolerate the whines and moans of hurt quidditch players. Then, if he was forced to go to St. Mungos there was no sympathy there either. Perhaps for him, mostly, because he was a pain in their ass with how he howled and cussed up a storm. When he tilted his head he complied and quietly too, which would have stunned anyone who knew him.
Another hiss befell his lips when she touched the salve to his ear but the pain didn't last. The moment it was put on the burn the pain subsided and the burn began to magically heal as it ought to. He pretended he didn't notice that hesitation after he introduced himself and ignored the voice in the back of his head.
The one that said 'she knows you because you probably..'
Susan Bones sounded familiar enough and after a long moment of racking his brain he realized it was because the Bones family was pureblood. He knew of them as blood traitors but of course he said nothing of the sort to her. It was embedded in his mind to consider her beneath him but it was difficult to manage when she was being so... well, nice.
He was frowning when suddenly he realized his lips were tugged into such an expression.
"Right, well, thanks. I'll take care of these two," once she let up on his ear he stood up and aimed his wand on the pair of crooks.
"Wingardium Leviosa" the pair floated up into the air, still stiff as boards and he guided them out of the shop by the tip of his wand. Once outside he let the charm off that kept them hovering so that they fell hard to the cobblestone ground outside the busted in entrance. They remained frozen in place and he returned inside.
"You can owl them now... need help cleanin' up?"
Why he offered was beyond him but he felt it was probably best to make sure she was safe until the Aurors arrived.
