susan bones will try to fix you. (susy_b) wrote in wished,
Susan was at a bit of a loss as well, she didn't know where to begin. Was she supposed to call the authorities? Find a hit-witch or wizard on duty and have them deal with it? Send an owl to the ministry? Clean up? Merlin, this sort of thing never happened to her. It all seemed surreal. And then this man who stood before her with an injured ear. What was she supposed to do with him? Give him a reward? Take him to St. Mungo's? The injury didn't look too severe, something that she could help fix, but what happened after that? The way he looked at her told her that he was in the same exact mindset.
What next?
When he agreed to allow her to help with his injury, a tiny smile twitched at the corner of her lips. "Please, sit." Waving her wand towards the counter, a stool scooted out in front of the counter, allowing him a place to sit. Susan moved to behind the counter, opening drawers and pulling out clean gauze and bandages as well as a round tin reading 'Salve'. Was it obvious that burns like this happen all the time? Susan was used to seeing injuries, especially in her shop. There were so many ingredients that could cause burns that she just kept supplies on hand.
At the mention of the door, Susan glanced towards it, seeing it blasted off it's hinges. Looking back at him, she shrugged. "It's just a door, it can be fixed." She replied softly. To be quite honest, that was the last thing she was concerned about. If it wasn't for him her store would have been completely trashed and penniless, the last thing she cared about was a door.
Finally moving from behind the counter, she stepped up next to him and placed the bandages on the table. "What you did was very brave." Leave it to Susan to be such a flatterer. It came naturally to her, being sweet and soft spoken. Delicate and nice. It was no wonder she was placed in Hufflepuff, her easy going nature just seeped from her and her calm and put together demeanor could keep even the the most nervous of people at ease.
