Daphne couldn't quite place how she felt at the moment, there was a distinct fluttering in the pit of her stomach, but she couldn't tell if that was from anxiety, nerves, or excitement. Tossing her journal into the drawer next to her bed, she grabbed a box that was hidden under their bed and pulled off the top. A broad smirk curled on her lips as she pulled out the contents. Glancing over the practically sheer material, Daphne shook her head. She had no idea what possessed her to purchase such a... risque article of clothing, or what made her think of Nikolas when she did, but part of her suspected it was the influence of her mother's owl. Since returning back from Fiji, the owls were coming daily from her mother inquiring about grandchildren and how Daphne was not getting any younger and that she believed that Daphne did not want to shame her family anymore than she all ready had. However, there was another part of her that was actually starting to have feelings for Nikolas. Daphne couldn't exactly place when those feelings started to arise, but she knew when she returned back from Spain they were more recognizable.
Fixing her hair up with a crystal encrusted hair clip, she tied the final bow at the front of the outfit (which was actually a dark emerald green, not black) and admired herself in the full length mirror beside the large vintage vanity table. Finally satisfied with how the outfit looked, she took a seat in front of the vanity and stared at her reflection. The butterflies we fluttering a bit more in her stomach as she waited. Her mind began to race with thoughts and regrets. What if Nikolas didn't like this gift? What if he thought she was absolutely nutters for even thinking he would like something like this?
What did she even plan on doing once he showed up? This wasn't something that was exactly natural for her. The last time she seduced someone was Blaise, and it wasn't that hard considering Blaise was easy to read. Nikolas was completely different, she couldn't tell what he was thinking most of the time. Glancing at the clock resting on the edge of the vanity - the minute hand showed that ten minutes passed since she told him to meet her. Maybe she should have given him another clue, but then where was the fun of the "hunt"?
Blue gaze darted to look at the reflection of the doorway. Plucking up one of the lip brushes, she popped open one of the lip gloss pallets and brushed on a pale pink gloss. That fluttering in her stomach officially became a nuisance, as all she could was wait for Nikolas to show up.
