There was some tension there, between them; he could feel it, and her words seemed to make him realize that he was not as muddle headed about what he felt. She offered him a compliment and he accepted, smiling at her as he rose from the water to stand.
His eyes shifted to the baby, who was patting him with her cold wet hand, and he grinned at her, slipping back down into the cool water himself, "I'm Neville. Can you say Neville? Or are you just asking me for pretty flowers again?" he asked her, laughing slightly as he did. He moved closer to Olivia, and thus, closer to Hannah.
"Neville. I am Neville. Can you say that?"
His tone was patient but he was curious if she could say his name. His hands were in the water, moving with the water as he touched Olivia's clothing, brushing against Hannah again by accident. A flash of guilt passed over his face, and his eyes shifted to Hannah's again without speaking.
