"She does?" Neville said, his attention shifting as he focused on Hannah's face, "I didn't realize," and after a pause, he added, "She hasn't mentioned anything. I wonder why...," he said, pausing as he drank more of his tea.
His gran had a habit of trying to meddle, so it was curious that she hadn't mentioned seeing Hannah before now. Neville dismissed it, guessing that she had no idea how close they had been during school. He had mentioned Hannah, of that he was certain. But he had also mentioned Luna, Ginny, Ron and Harry, Hermione and Dean and Seamus, and Sam and all of the other students he had worked with and grown close to.
He gave a small sigh, "I know you loved her," and he looked over at her, "Of course you did. I love my parents too. Its what helps motivate me every day, to do what I can to help others and live each day to the fullest. They'd want that for me, I'm sure," he said, trying not to feel gloomy about his ill parents, still in St. Mungos. But her words shifted him from himself, "She wouldn't want that for you. Your dad wouldn't want to for you either, I am sure."
