"Olivia loves watermelon." she said with a small smile to him, "I'll make sandwiches and salads. You can bring fruit and dessert this time."
She didn't really want him to leave, but she didn't want to give him the wrong messages either. She wanted to explore where this went without rushing into it and hurting him, herself, or her daughter. "Come by about 11:30?" she asked, "That is after morning nap and Olivia will be in a much better mood."
Olivia was still in the habit of two naps a day. She was always a very early riser, usually up with the sun. It didn't matter the season. She was a child of habits and if she didn't have her habits, she got very very cranky.
