"Maybe I'm just happy that you are here, Hannah," he said, his cheeks turning slightly brighter as he grinned at her, taking a plate to dry, "You do something to this place of mine, brightening it with your sweet smile and your darling girl. It's easy to see how the two of you could make any place special. Your dad's lucky to have you two with him," Neville said honestly, not really grasping the full implication of his words.
At Hannah's comments, his face turned redder, "She's cute. And she's sweet. Why she likes me, I have no clue but I thinks she's pretty amazing. Like her mom."
This time, he said his words on purpose, making an effort to tell her what he was thinking.
