Padma still felt a little like she was running off her feet all the time. Head girl duties, classes, and just getting used to being around so many people again after a summer with just her family - it was all a little overwhelming. She was starting to feel like she had it in hand though, for now. She really did wish that the new Prefects would stop running to her and Ernie for every little thing though. She was sure she hadn't been quite that needy, even her first weeks.
She'd taken an extra set of rounds from one of the other Prefects, so she'd done her usual spots, and then taken another set over by the classrooms. She stopped, almost finished and ready to head back, already thinking mostly about the Runes she had to translate for classwork tonight.
A crash of sound and a spate of cursing caught her attention though. Padma blinked at the curses, flushing a little as she headed toward the source. She was a more than a little surprised to see that it wasn't a student. It was odd not having Professor McGonagall in classes, though the new Headmistress was still very much present. But Professor Tonks seemed very capable, and she was nice.
Of course most Professors didn't trip in the halls and then spit out phrases that would have proved troublesome if the first years picked them up.
Padma hurried forward, helping to gather the scrolls and then offering a hand to Tonks. "Are you all right, Professor?"
