Maeve Sheridan knows she's better than you. (few_and_far) wrote in wished,
Having only one hours warning wasn't what Maeve had expected when she'd tried to compromise but Delaney had up and left before she'd even thought to argue. Still, she'd agreed to it and had lacked the foresight to set the fine details herself so she assumed this was no more than what she deserved. She'd taken a few moments to tidy her space and cool her potions so they could rest before she headed upstairs to change. Even if she didn't have the same things in mind that Delaney did and wasn't much of a social butterfly even she didn't fancy going out in her brewing clothes smelling strongly of the Apothecary.
The whole walk down to the Leaky Cauldron, Maeve alternated between scolding herself for letting Twilfitt pick the time and wondering what she'd been playing at. She found it hard to accept someone would be so forward with someone they'd met only once or twice. But she was getting a new job out of the deal, something offering a little creativity, and that made up for a lot. Maeve glanced around a few times but didn't see the other woman initially and headed for the bar.
