The door opening and the introduction of Daphne by her chambermaid had snapped him back out of his thoughts. It was always a curious thing that only she could make his mind wander with plenty of images and thoughts quite easily. Biting his lip, Blaise rose from his seat in a proper and gentlemanly way. Of course, things weren't right between the two, but that didn't mean that his manners had vanished out of the window completely. Fingers clapsing around the pointer finger of the other hand, he waited paitently for her to shoo away the servant. It did make him wonder exactly how they honestly found human servants to work around the home in Bath. Who would in their right mind agree to that sort of labor really?
"You look lovely, Daphne," he spoke first and finally once they were alone in the drawing room. A tongue darted out slowly and ran along his bottom lip, allowing his gaze to take her appearence in fully. Not taking as long as usual on her form, a hand directed towards the arm chair that was nearer to his postion, reminding her that she was allowed to do anything she so desired within the Zabini mansion. "Would you care to take a seat? Only if you wish too." Resisting the urge to call Daphne a familar pet nickname, he hoped that she didn't feel bad because of that. He honestly wasn't sure if he was allowed to respond to her with those familar terms during their little spat. Blaise wasn't some sort of call boy. He could have any woman that his heart desired no matter how his best friend might feel about that particular person. It was the pesky feeling of love that kept him from doing so.
