As the door opened slowly and timidly, Daphne sneered as pair of large ears and then an equally large head poked out of the door. Huge glassy eyes peered up at Daphne and the chambermaid before opening the door and beckoning the pair in. Rolling her eyes, Daphne entered the foyer and looked around. Daphne was never fond of her house elves, they were vile creatures and didn't deserve to work for people like her and Blaise. The Greengrass' had house elves, Daphne could remember seeing them around the house growing up, however, after inheriting the house in Bath, Daphne made sure to purge the home of any elves. Instead, she took to hiring actual human servants. All of the servants within the Greengrass Estate were either squibs or muggleborns with magical relatives. Daphne refused to hire actual witches and wizards, something just didn't feel right about employing people that she might have to regard as an equal. However, she didn't want to employ servants who weren't familiar with the wizarding world because her home was not void of magic. Thus, squibs and muggleborn relatives of witches and wizards were hired to tend to the Greengrass-Vaisey Estate.
The chambermaid closed the parasol instinctively as Daphne stepped into the foyer. Standing patiently beside her, Daphne proceeded to remove her gloves and hand them to the maid. The young girl curtsied and took a step back to stand one step behind Daphne. By passing the elf completely, Daphne didn't need the wretched creature to show her where Blaise was, instinct drove her to check the drawing room, directly off of the foyer. The servant, predicting where Daphne was headed, scooted ahead of the woman and slid open the doors. A crisp Irish accent announced "Miss Daphne Vaisey."
Daphne winced, and waved the young girl away, "Why don't you go see if that house elf needs help with.... whatever it is it's doing." The young girl curtsied and vanished in the direction that the elf went. Green eyes peered around the room as she caught sight of Blaise sitting on one of the couches. Everything that she wanted to say to him instantly left her mind as she studied the man sitting on the couches. Slow steps were taken as she moved closer to the couch, she was attempting to put her thoughts together. Hopefully Blaise would say something first.
