WHO: Morag and Sam
WHAT: Morag finds herself in Memorial Park, and someone she used to know.
WHERE: Memorial Park
WHEN: July 10th

Walking into Diagon Alley after such a long time was rather like walking into it for the first time. Sure she had her memories, but so much had changed that it was rather like seeing it for the first time. New structures, new businesses, new park.

So that was where her afternoon had taken her, after going to Gringotts to exchange some money and walking some shops to get reacquainted, she was now sitting in the park on a bench. She had a drink and a newly purchased journal on the bench beside her as she people watched.

She'd planned to write, but that just seemed a little bit useless. She wasn't entirely sure what to say.

As much as she liked being able to help her sister or brother with their shops, Sam also felt a serious need to bust free and do her own thing. Working regular hours had never been something she adjusted easily to. Mallory had needed help for a few hours of the afternoon rush but as soon as things had calmed down Sam was sure to cut and run.

But Ginny was at practice and everyone else was busy so Sam had fallen into her normal routine and headed straight for the park after grabbing a coffee. She paid little attention to the afternoon crowd and headed straight for the first empty bench she found, setting down her case and popping it open before she began to play. She played for herself, mostly, but didn't overlook the possibility of tips. It was nice to see the reaction from the crowd but the songs she played, whether covers or her own, were based more on what she felt like playing rather than what would earn her gold.

Morag tapped a quill on the journal a few times before snapping it shut and shaking her head. May as well just go home. She did what she wanted for the day. She was just standing up when the live music began. Now, Morag could never ignore or walk away from live music until it proved to be disastrous. Then she'd run away screaming.

So far so good though. It wasn't until she made it a bit closer that she recognized the person playing. Now if Sam was still like she was, chances were that while into the music she wasn't playing the most attention to the people milling about. So she could have left, but Morag made her way in that direction anyway.

She dropped the spare change she had on her into the open case. "You've still got it, Capper." She said maybe a tad bit nervous but she was smiling..

	Sam didn't pay much attention to the coins falling into her case, apart from sparing them a smile, but the words caught her attention. "MacDougal," she said plainly, looking up to see who it was willing to approach her mid-song. Cutting her song short, she sat up a little and gave the older woman her undivided attention. 	Alright so it was really good to see old friends. Morag pointed behind her. "Bench over there." She replied, knowing that probably wasn't the complete answer she was looking for. Scooting over, Sam offered up more of her bench to Morag and stared at her happily. It was a face she hadn't seen in a very long time but that didn't make it any less of a welcome sight. "Fair enough," she said, nodding, "Good as place as any to be from." It was an answer that left plenty open but she felt everyone was allowed their privacy. "Brilliant," she said automatically, folding her arms over atop her guitar. "Well brilliant," she added after another moment, still processing the sudden reappearance of an old friend.

	"Did some traveling, stayed at my mums until she drove me crazy, it's sort of a cycle." She elaborated. "Brilliant's good." Morag said smiling widely at the fact that she'd repeated herself. "Especially when it's so brilliant you need to say it twice." It was definitely a good thing. Looking around it looked like everyone was having a brilliant time. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Travelling, huh?" Anytime it come to some travelling, regardless of the duration, Sam's interest was automatically piqued. The furthest she had ever travelled in her life was the trip from London to Hogwarts and in recent years it was even less. 	"Sorry. It wasn't really classy, tourist spots most of the time." Hell, she'd gotten stranded in Germany due to lack of funds. Sure she could have found the magical German government and gotten a portkey home. She leaned back on the bench as some people passed by. "I dunno," Sam considered it, pulling the pack of cigarettes from her pocket and lighting up. "I've always liked a bit of horror, films and books. Put it so dramatically, you make it sound like it could be entertaining as well as terrifying." She exhaled, blowing smoke away from the other woman and leaned back, getting more comfortable. "How long have you been back? Or, I guess, how long were you gone?

	"No, not terrifying." She said with a laugh. Just unremarkable in a few places and maybe a little dirty. "But I had a few adventures." She said with a laugh. It was true, and it is amazing the people she met while traveling. Morag resituated herself to face Sam more clearly. "Would you believe this my first day back in Diagon Alley? Think it's fate?" "Well, that's at least worth something," Sam pointed out, smiling. "What? Fate that you just happen to step foot back in Diagon Alley and you run into me?" She laughed warmly, flicking away ash. "That's not fate, that's just bloody lucky. Everyone not here," she added, gesturing at the other park dwellers surrounding them and winked, "Wishes they were half as lucky as you."

	She laughed with her, because Morag had missed Sam. "Fine then, I'm really bloody lucky." She agreed. "And I guess I really am. Can hardly run back off into the woodwork now, can I?" "Ah," Sam eyed the journal and nodded. "No, you're well stuck now," she said triumphantly, ignoring the fact that sticking around was obviously Morag's intention. "Besides, I'm clingy. Now that you've gone and let me know you'll be hanging about I'm not going to let you just drift off again to some scummy hostel in who the fuck know's where." She smirked and took another drag off her cigarette. "Not without a proper visit at least."

	"I'm done with scummy hostels. I'm also done with my mums. So I'm sticking around. I've just got to find a place." She said with a smile. "So you can cling away. We'll have to play one night." "Where are you looking?" Sam asked, flicking away her cigarette. She didn't have much advice ready to offer, having never found it necessary to hunt for a flat before. The biggest move she'd made in her life was moving from her room to the master bedroom after graduation. But that didn't stifle her curiosity. Really, it only spurred it on. "There's nice looking places in Memorial Alley," she said, jerking her head toward the other end of the park. "But I heard London is ridiculously expensive. And I'd guess the Alley even more so."

	Morag couldn't help the large smile that came across her face. Sam and Ginny were still together, which was sweet. Most of the time school romances just went away over time. 	"Nah," Sam waved away the question with barely a moment to think about it. "And if she does...it's my house!" Laughing happily, she waved her hand again. She would readily do anything to keep Ginny happy and would never go out of her way to upset her but she was comfortable in her boundaries. (Reply to this) (Parent)
