Eight reached the door before Orsino did, but luckily lacked the opposable thumbs to open it and tackle the impending visitor. Unfortunately for Don, Orsino didn't do much to keep the dog back once he did open the door, and the bassist was greeted by a curly-coated dog dancing around his legs and sniffing curiously at his shoes.
After making some effort to call the dog off, Orsino grinned apologetically. "This is the reason I called you over, actually. Eight needed to let off some steam."
He stood aside and let Don enter before closing the door and snapping his fingers. On cue, Eight's bottom immediately dropped to the floor and, though his tail was still wagging furiously, he was otherwise quite docile. "Good boy."
